Delete Your Account

How to delete your Chat with Work account and its data, in the iPhone, iPad, and Android apps or on the web, and what happens to each part of it.

Delete it yourself

Chat with Work is made by PlentyLabs UG. You can delete your account at any time, in the app or on the web, without asking us:

  1. Sign in to the Chat with Work app, or to chatwithwork.com in a browser.
  2. Open Settings, then Account.
  3. Under "Delete your account", choose Delete account.
  4. Type your email address to confirm, and choose Delete my account.

Your account is deleted at once, and you're signed out. It can't be undone.

What's deleted right away

  • Your login: email address, password, name, profile picture, settings, and the push registrations of your phones.
  • Every organization where you're the only person, with its chats, projects, uploaded files, connector tokens, MCP server settings and credentials, computers, schedules, templates, instructions, memories, content cached from your services, notifications, and audit events. Its plan is cancelled.
  • In organizations you share with others, you're removed: your connectors are disconnected and their tokens deleted (revoked with the provider where it offers a way), your MCP servers, computers, and schedules are removed, and the content cached from them is deleted. If you were the owner, the organization passes to an admin or the next member.

What's deleted later

  • Your private chats in organizations you share are hidden at once and permanently deleted 30 days later, with their messages, tool results, attachments, titles, and summaries.
  • Backups are encrypted and kept under our backup retention schedule. Deleted data may remain in them until they expire.

What stays

  • Chats you asked in a project that others are on belong to the project, and stay with the team.
  • In organizations you share, a record of the tokens and cost your questions used, without any chat content, stays for the organization's credits and billing.
  • Stripe keeps its own payment records as tax law requires.
  • Some services can't be told to revoke our access. Remove Chat with Work in your Microsoft or Basecamp account settings, delete any Odoo API key you created for it, and revoke credentials you gave your own MCP servers there.

The privacy policy has how long each kind of data is kept.

If you can't sign in

Email support@chatwithwork.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We confirm the request comes from you, delete the account as described above, and answer within one month. If your organization runs Chat with Work on its own servers, ask its administrators instead: we don't hold its data.
