Terms of Service

1. Contracting party and scope

These terms govern your use of Chat with Work. The contracting party is Carmine Paolino, Brunnenstr. 169, 10119 Berlin, Germany (support@chatwithwork.com). German law applies. The exclusive venue is Berlin courts.

The service starts immediately; you waive any statutory withdrawal right for digital services provided right away. These terms apply to consumers and businesses.

2. Service description

The service connects to your Google Drive via OAuth to let you search, read, and chat about your files. It may retrieve file metadata and contents (including previews around search terms) and use Google Vertex AI (Gemini) to generate responses, OCR, and transcriptions. No model is trained on your data. Support may review chats flagged by users or requiring attention.

3. Accounts and eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• Keep credentials confidential; do not share accounts or create automated accounts.
• You must have rights to any data you connect or upload.

4. Acceptable use

• No illegal or infringing content, and no sensitive data unless you have a lawful basis.
• No scraping, reverse engineering, excessive load, or abuse of APIs.
• No reselling or providing the service to third parties without permission.

5. Plans, credits, and trials

• Invite-only alpha: 200 credits per month.
• Trials: 200 total credits; after consumption, the trial ends.
• Credits are metered units, non-transferable, non-refundable, and expire at period end.

6. Billing and payments

• Billing will be monthly or yearly (yearly at a discount) via Stripe.
• Plan changes prorate within the current billing cycle; no refunds.
• If payment fails, the account may be suspended; after 30 days of suspension it may be deleted.

7. Termination and data

• You may cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Account deletion removes your account, chats, and connected data; backups may retain data until they expire per the retention schedule.
• A data export can be requested before deletion; it may not be available after deletion.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we process personal data, including the use of Google Vertex AI, Stripe, self-hosted analytics/support, and backups.

9. Availability and support

We use commercially reasonable efforts to keep the service available and aim for at least 99.5% monthly availability. This target is informational and excludes planned maintenance and downtime caused by third-party providers (including hosting, Google, Stripe) or factors outside our control. We do not provide service credits, SLA remedies, or financial compensation. Support is offered via email.

10. Disclaimers and liability

• The service and AI outputs are provided “as is” and may be inaccurate or incomplete. You use them at your own risk.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties and have zero liability, including for indirect, consequential, or lost-profit damages.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we do, we will post the updated version and may provide notice through the service. Continued use means you accept the changes.
